I have been a quilter, embroiderer and sewer for many years – it is in my family blood! My mom was a master handweaver, fashion designer and sewer, and my daughter loves to embroider, sew and craft. For our first-ever lake show, we welcome you to check out our handsewn and crafted items. We believe in including upcycled materials in our projects.

Thomas has been building Muskoka Chairs since 2012, first in his parents’ basement, now from his workshop in Huntsville, where he lives with his Fiancé Maggie. Since then he has expanded to a wide variety of products such as large signs for Algonquin Park and the Canadian National Exhibition. Usually working with a Muskoka theme, he has also expanded into lake maps, jewellery, games, souvenirs, and household items such as coasters, cutting boards, and seasonal decorations. He’s always looking forward to the next new design, and enjoys the challenges brought by custom projects.

You can find his work year round at The Shipyards Muskoka Marketplace in Gravenhurst.

I am a photography enthusiast who has been a year round cottager on Six Mile Lake ( my happy place!) for 12 years. This will be my 3rd year of the Art show. Some of my favourite photography genres are nature/landscapes & wildlife. I create unique products displaying my original work ( Canvas prints, clothing, mugs, etc.) I will be selling coasters, along with a few other select items which will be on display for order. I have recently teamed up with my son Matthew, a graphic arts student to create “Canadiana” merchandise.

I make fabulous rings and pins for every occasion, elegant pendants, charms and keychains to glitz up any purse or handbag, as well as whimsical beaded chains to add glamour to your home or cottage–and am always coming up with new ideas! The sparkle of beautiful materials, the thirst to craft appealing pieces… Fire, Desire, and Wire!

Jon and Heather (Oak & Darling) have been creating handcrafted tables, benches, charcuterie and cutting boards and wood-based art pieces since 2016. They also create products in acrylic and wood for children, weddings, businesses and more. Orders are welcome anytime, and custom laser engraving is available, as well as custom orders.

Founded in 2022, Adams Mercantile started with handmade gemstone jewelry, and expanded to homemade preserves (in a certified kitchen), art, home decor, textiles and more! Six Mile Lake favourites include Cowboy Candy (Candied Jalapenos) and Garlic Dill Pickles.

Owner Morgan Adams is a a “jill of all trades” and created Adams Mercantile, with her husband Joe Adams, as a way to share all of their homesteading creative endeavours in one place – a pop up Mercantile-type shop. With old favourites and new items to discover every year, everyone is bound to find something they love. We would love for you to visit us!

Spirit Tree Paddle Company artisan Jenni Hunter creates one-of-a-kind canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddle board paddles at her workshop in downtown Paris, Ontario, but visits Six Mile Lake often in the summertime.

Each Spirit Tree product is created with intention, designed to inspire a love of the outdoors and respect for important ecological spaces. Visit us at the Six Mile Lake Art Tour to see our paddles in person. They are handcrafted to last a lifetime!
