I have a variety of hand knitted and crocheted items. They include children’s sweaters, hats, toys, lap throws and afghans. Proceeds from some items will be donated to the Midland Salvation Army Food Bank.

I’ve always loved the lake and find inspiration all around me. From the Trillium in the spring, to the autumn leaves in the fall. After retiring from my Flower Shop, I needed a creative outlet and found the world of Quilting. I can continue to work with my hands and play with colour by using sewing, applique, thread painting, beading and collage techniques.

They Velcro at the back of the neck making them easy to get on and off. You won’t want to miss her hand knit soft faux fur headband and scarf sets.

The Swyrydenko family has been cottaging on the lake since the early 1970’s.

Nadya was looking for a new creative outlet when she tried out pottery. A new passion was born. Working with a variety of clay bodies, experimenting with textures, shape and glazes, she was hooked. She loves to share her passion with everyone. All glazes used are food safe and can be put in the dishwasher as well as microwave.

It has been years since Natascha has done any silk screening, but she’s at it again. In the past several years she has done fun, one-of-a-kind t-shirts for friends and family occasions. This year she is branching out and creating a Six Mile Lake map, silk-screened t-shirt (with an additional special surprise). Come by and buy one of the shirts or talk to Natascha about creating a small-batch order for that special occasion (wait time is about 2 weeks).

Art therapy after cancer became a healing place so Alex’s Sewing Shed gives 100% of the sales back to breast cancer. Working in the field of breast reconstruction in the operating room I up-cycled many of the instrument wraps in my colourful bags from small to huge. I have expanded to the best cotton percale pajamas from up-cycled pottery barn sheets. I source them everywhere hunting down the cutest patterns, feeling like fresh sheets, they all come in a matching pajama bag. Now I continue to give back to breast cancer as the first physician to open a restorative areola tattooing clinic with no charge in the hospital where art meets medicine every day.
