Sylwia is a self-taught artist who enjoys mixing abstract with realistic elements using a variety of media including oil and acrylic paint, ink, oil pastels, and charcoal on canvas and paper. She does not take herself too seriously but rather uses painting as a relaxing method to unwind and express her creativity. Sylwia is delighted to share her “Midsummer” collection of colourful oil pastel drawings at the SML Artist Tour. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to Woman’s Habitat.

Douglas Robinson

Douglas Robinson was born in Vancouver BC. He started painting at the age of 10. Growing up it was common to find Doug in painting classes with only adults. He now works out of his main studio in Nobleton, Ontario…except in the summer when he moves to his cottage studio in Muskoka, Ontario. Douglas attended The Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU) to study Communications & Design. As an abstract acrylic artist his art is an intuitive process: Multiple layers are covered and revealed, colours and contrast support gestural strokes. Multi media and collage also plays a role in some of his art that aim to inspire, uplift the curiosity and captivate the viewers.

Marilyn Rennie

Marilyn is best known for her realistic, finely detailed acrylic or oil paintings on canvas. Marilyn specializes in landscapes, wildlife, pet and cottage portraits. A variety of paintings will be available for purchase at the Tour, and she is also taking custom commissions for paintings on canvas or a canoe paddle.

Bridget Puhacz

Bridget Puhacz received her BFA from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada in 2024. She is a multimedia artist exploring the influence of color on perception and the nuances of female identity. Her work has been featured in exhibitions in both London and Toronto, Ontario.

In 2023 she received the Border Crossings award from the AJE 21 in the ArtLab Gallery at Western University. She is a member artist of Gallery 1313 in Toronto, where she held her first solo exhibition titled “She Speaks in Line” in February 2024. Her work is held by private collectors in Toronto, Windsor, and Mississauga, and is held in the collection of the Brain and Mind Institute at Western University.

Brenda Pritchard

Brenda is a painter and illustrator mostly in the wildlife genre. She is currently working on her 4th and 5th children’s books in the Whisky Goes Wild sequels, all of which are becoming lake favourites. She has original canvases for sale either by appointment at the lake studio or at the Tour. She also specializes in pet portraits based on your own photos.
